WATCH: Activists forced out of the room by Arizona Capitol security

Activists appeared at the state Capitol on Wednesday, where they stood in protest of Senate Bill 1635, which would make it a state crime to alert others of ICE or police activity, punishable by up to 6 months in jail.

The group was forced out of the room by Capitol security after Republican committee chair Wendy Rogers gaveled them down and immediately sent the committee into recess.

Community members and activists waited more than five hours to hear the committee discuss SB1635, as Sen. Rogers decided to make it the last bill up for discussion.
