Video: As Unemployment Soars in Arizona, Republicans Vote to Reduce Relief Package

Sen. Martha McSally is taking credit for helping Arizona families, but she voted against increasing the unemployment benefit.


Sen. Martha McSally is taking credit for helping “provide swift aid to Arizona families, small businesses, hospitals, and tribal communities facing financial insecurity due to the coronavirus pandemic” by voting for the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.

However, she’s one of 48 senators who voted for an amendment that opposed a larger increase because they worried the temporary aid would be more than some people make regularly.
