Protesters chanted “No more ICE” and disrupted the Arizona Senate on Monday, March 2, while lawmakers deliberated on SB1635, a bill that would create criminal penalties for individuals who warn others about ICE activity in the state.

The disruption came after Sen. Catherine Miranda tried introducing an amendment requiring ICE agents operating in Arizona to identify themselves and unmask, but the amendment failed.

The bill passed along party lines and moved to the House.
