Waymo says its autonomous cars complete thousands of trips to the Phoenix airport each week.

Self-driving Waymo cars are now providing 24/7 curbside pickups and drop-offs at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport’s Terminals 3 and 4.

The company’s announcement of the expanded service on Aug. 27 said the cars will also still be available at the 24th and 44th Street PHX Sky Train stops.

“We are excited to just continue to improve options and service at Phoenix Sky Harbor,” Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego said in a video posted on X.

Waymo began curbside pickups and drop-offs at the airport in 2023, but only from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. It started a phased rollout of the 24/7 service this June.

The company stated its cars complete thousands of trips to the Phoenix airport each week, with a total of over 100,000 trips since the service began.

With an addition of 90 square miles in June, Waymo’s total service area across the Valley now spans 315 square miles, including on tribal land.

Travelers can request a ride with Waymo by downloading the Waymo One app
