Whether you’re seriously searching or just looking for fun, here are some Phoenix rentals that grabbed our attention this week.

This section appears in Rent Check PHX, a biweekly newsletter made for Phoenix renters, written by someone who’s lived it. Sign up for it here.

Are you looking for a new rental in Phoenix? Or maybe you’re someone who likes to scroll housing listings for fun? Either way, I’m bringing you the highlights of what I’ve seen recently while scrolling Zillow.

Some are more practical, while others may be just for dreaming. But hopefully they’re all at least fun to look through.

If baths are important to you: I would hate to live anywhere without a bath tub, so I love to see a place offering two—and one of them is right next to a beautiful, second-story window. This three-bed, 2.5-bath near Ray Road and 43rd Street is listed for $2,200 a month. It’s 1,661 square feet, and pets are allowed. It includes access to community tennis and pickleball courts, a playground, pools, and a spa.

If you like a house with some whimsy: This 1,120-square-foot home near Baseline Road and 48th Street is more than just cute on the outside—it’s got some bold, striped and polka-dotted walls. I’m not sure if the lime green stools at the breakfast bar stay with the rental, but those are fun, too. This two-bed, two-bath is listed for $1,950 a month and available on Feb. 1. Small dogs are allowed.

If you dream of playing pool basketball with roommates: A guy in his early 20s is looking for two roommates in a 1,587-square-foot home off of 35th Avenue and Cactus Road. The rooms, which are listed for $800 a month, come with queen beds and dressers, and utilities and WiFi are included. There’s also a pool with a basketball hoop in the backyard. Pets are not allowed.

If you want to lounge in the front AND backyards: This 1920s brick home near 12th Street and McDowell has a cute front porch worth lounging on, along with a super fun backyard. There’s a big outdoor couch, fire pit, putting green, and a hot tub right next to a bar with seats. The 1,464 square-foot-home is listed for $4,000 a month. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and dogs are allowed.

If you come across any interesting, weird, or surprisingly affordable listings that you think should be featured here, please send them my way at jessicaswarner@couriernewsroom.com!

Listings available as of Jan. 13. I’m not paid to share these listings, but that doesn’t mean I can personally vouch for them. Please do your research before applying and signing a lease!
