Here were the top baby names in Arizona last year, according to Arizona Department of Health Services data.

Liam has been the most popular name for a baby boy in Arizona for a decade. 

Did you know any babies named Liam and Olivia in 2024?

If so, they’re among hundreds of infants given the state’s most popular names last year, according to Arizona Department of Health Services data

Just under 500 baby boys were named Liam, while 343 girls were named Olivia. 

Liam has topped the list for boys for the past decade, while Olivia has been the most popular girl’s name for five years in a row. 

Twenty years ago, the state’s most popular name for baby boys was Jose, and in 1994, the top name was Michael.

For girls, the top name 10 years ago was Sophia, while it was Emily in 2004 and Jessica in 1994.
