As a United States Army combat veteran, it was both a duty and an honor to put my country over myself. I seek that same spirit in my public servants, and Ruben Gallego has shown me that he is the leader our state needs.

Like me, Ruben’s call to serve came at a young age. He enlisted in the Marines before his 21st birthday. Since then, he’s dedicated his life to service, spending the last decade delivering for Arizona as a member of Congress.

Now, he’s ready to carry on that fight to the United States Senate.

I’ve always been a political Independent. I believe in putting country over party, always.

That means seeking real solutions to our nation’s problems, even if it means working with political opponents.

Congressman Gallego has demonstrated that very spirit. He’s helped pass bipartisan legislation to better Arizona, bringing people together from both sides of the aisle to get the job done.

And he’s been outspoken on the need to boost security at our southern border, leading the charge on bipartisan legislation to hire more border patrol agents, invest in better technology, and keep Arizonans safe

His opponent, Kari Lake, cares more about spectacles than solutions. Time and time again, Kari Lake shows who she is: a self-interested politician who cares more about rising to power than serving Arizonans.

I spent 20 years serving our Nation to defend our freedoms, and during my time in the military I saw the negative impact that divisive, self-serving dictators can have on the people they are expected to serve. So the fact that Kari Lake grovels at the feet of a former President who possesses so many of the disturbing personal characteristics of those dictators that we actively fought against as a Nation, tells me everything there is to know about Kari Lake.

Arizona needs a Senator who will look out for us – for our rights, freedoms, and prosperity – not themselves. Ruben Gallego is that leader.
